Mary A. Messmer

Mary A. (Pawlowski) Messmer, 97, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2017 at Vernon Manor Health Care Center. She had been the loving wife of the late William F. Messmer Sr. for nearly 50 years.

Born on July 11, 1920 in Naugatuck to the late Vincent and Mary (Gonterek) Pawlowski, she had been a longtime Naugatuck resident. Mary enjoyed gardening and spending time in her yard.

She is survived by her son William F. Messmer Jr. of Tolland and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother William “Wally” Pawlowski and 2 sisters, Helen Janicki and Jean Willis.
