Mary Ann (Hawran) Michaels, 87, of Southington, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 25, 2021, surrounded by her family. She had been the loving wife of Edward D. Michaels, recently celebrating 66 years of marriage.
Born on May 17, 1934 in Hartford to the late John and Mary (Gonshor) Hawran, she had been a longtime Southington resident.
Mary Ann loved to cook, garden and enjoyed dancing the polka with her husband Edward. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, watching them participate in sports and school activities.
In addition to her husband Edward, Mary Ann is survived by three sons, Michael Michaels and his wife Tracey of Glastonbury, David Michaels and his wife Ann Marie of Bristol, and Timothy Michaels and his wife Bridget of Southington and 6 grandchildren, Cameron and AJ Michaels, Brianna and Jarrett Michaels and Hannah and Jacob Michaels. She is also survived by 3 siblings, Sophia Sharkevich of Wethersfield, Michael Hawran of Wethersfield and Fred Hawran and his wife Judy of Windsor and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister and two brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St, Southington. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held before service from 9 – 10 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville.
