Michael J. Jennings

Michael J. Jennings, 57, of New Britain, passed away as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Born on November 2, 1964, he attended schools in New Britain and Southington. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, snow mobiling, NASCAR racing and was an avid fan of the NY Giants and the NY Yankees. Mike was an operator for Local 478 and was currently working for TILCON.

Mike leaves behind his father and stepmother, Edward and Tena Jennings, a sister, Carolyn Lombardi and her husband Jon, 2 brothers, Edward Jennings and Muriel Nadeau and Kenneth Traceski and Becky Kus. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his mother Renee Jennings and his much-loved companion, his pitbull Chili.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Monday, August 29, 2022 at St. Dominic’s Church, 1050 Flanders Rd, Southington. Interment of ashes with military honors will follow in the State Veteran’s Cemetery, Middletown. Calling hours will be held from 3 - 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville.
