Michael W. Myers

Michael W. Myers, 79, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at UConn Health Center. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Campbell) Myers for 52 years.

Mike was born on March 12, 1946 in Gloucester, New Jersey to the late Raymond and Iva (Osborne) Myers. He grew up in Palmyra, Pennsylvania and graduated from Palmyra High School. After graduation, Mike enlisted in the US Navy, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War, stationed aboard the USS Theodore.

Mike earned his bachelor's degree in data processing from Manchester Community College and had a long career as a computer programmer and analyst. He enjoyed sports, especially golf and was an avid deep sea fisherman, looking forward to the annual trip to Block Island with his buddies for many years.

In addition to his wife Kathy, Mike is survived by his daughter, Colleen Martocci and her husband Peter of Patchogue, Long Island and three cherished grandchildren, Luke, Anna and Joey. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Myers and wife Verna of Palmyra, PA, two sisters, Beverly Latchet and husband Charles and Gloria Sawyer, his sister-in-law, Connie Campbell of Bend, OR and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry St., Plantsville, from 1–3p.m. with Words of Remembrance and Military Honors at 3 p.m. Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
