Nicholas T. DiBenedictis, 78, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Dianne P. (Derouin) DiBenedictis for 50 years.

Nick was born on July 7, 1942 in Waterbury to the late Vincent and Elizabeth (Schultz) DiBenedictis.

He was a hard worker and had many jobs throughout the years working at Uniroyal Inc, AGC, and most recently Bozzutto’s. Nick was a longtime member of St. Aloysius Church. He loved sports and was a diehard Yankee fan. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and was a talented artist and craftsman. Most of all, he loved his family.

Nick is survived by three children: son, Nicholas DiBenedictis and his wife Carol Ann of Cheshire; daughter, Monica Keane of Waterbury; son, Brett DiBenedictis and his wife Amanda Kulik of Boston, MA and 4 grandchildren: Sara and Nicholas DiBenedictis and Erica and John Keane. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas DiBenedictis of Naugatuck and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Captain John F. Keane WFD and his brother, Vincent DiBenedictis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St, Plantsville. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Face coverings are required. Calling hours will be held before the service from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
