Nolan James Petro, 25, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Nolan was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, dog dad and friend to many.
Nolan was born in Bristol on June 5, 1997. He graduated from E C Goodwin Technical High School, Class of 2015 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was thoughtful, kind, protective and would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it. Nolan liked working on his car and playing video games. He loved nature and enjoyed being outdoors; hiking, kayaking, walking his beloved dog Kovü and looking at the sky.
Nolan is survived by his parents, Diane and Paul Cayer and Joseph Petro Jr. and Maria Garay and siblings; Robert Keniston, Joseph Petro, Kaitlyn Petro, Kayla Marinelli, Amy Cayer and Carissa Cayer. He is also survived by his grandparents, Robert Houle and Joseph Petro Sr. and Mary-Jane Petro, his nephews, Jaden Landeen-Cayer and Liam Keniston, his nieces Kaylyn Keniston and Sienna Marinelli and his girlfriend, Shelby Lewry. Nolan was predeceased by his sister, Rachelle Cayer and his grandmother, Rachel Houle.

A memorial service will be held at 11: 00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the First Congregational Church of Southington, 37 Main St, Southington, CT 06489. Burial with military honors will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S, Main St. Plantsville, CT 06479.
