Patricia "Pat" F. Hext

Patricia “Pat” F. (Quinn) Hext, 88, of Wallingford, Connecticut and formerly of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at MidState Medical Center.  She was the loving wife of the late William Albert Hext who predeceased her in 2022.  

Patricia was born on March 17, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles and Marie (Doyle) Quinn. Pat had a strong faith in God. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards and reading. She loved to play Bingo, do crossword puzzles and was a great joke teller. She also enjoyed playing games at family gatherings, where she was happiest surrounded by her family. 

Pat is survived by her children; Marianne Oshana of Plantsville, Patricia Volpe and her husband Anthony of Wallingford, Philip Leone of NH and daughter-in-law Lisa Leone of PA, and Lynda Schrauth and Stephanie Hext-Wohlleben and her husband Bill, both of WI. 

She was the devoted grandmother to Kevin Cohen (Danielle), Jessica Shea (Kyle), Mitchell Oshana (Katie), Jordyn Leone, Sarah Volpe, AJ Volpe, Cameron Leone, Michael Wallace (Kathleen) and Jessica Wallace, as well as loving great-grandmother to Caden, Jameson, Riley, River, Lorelai, Keelan and Ilene. 

In addition to her parents and her husband Bill, Pat was predeceased by her son-in-law, Al Schrauth and her former husband, Cataldo “Cal” Leone. 

Patricia’s family would like to extend a special thank you to John and Kris Wallace for their companionship, support and loving care they shared with her during her time in Wisconsin. 

A memorial service will be celebrated at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Calling hours will be held before the service from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
