Patrick J. Jenkins

Patrick J. Jenkins, 78, of the Plantsville section of Southington, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of the late Diane (Wolanin) Jenkins, who predeceased him in 2010.

Patrick was born in Ireland on April 23, 1945, to the late Joseph J. and Rose (Courtney) Jenkins. He worked at Thomas Kelly Construction for many years and retired from B & L Finishing. After his retirement, Pat became a fixture at the Southington Country Club where he worked as a Starter and enjoyed the company of his many friends. He loved playing golf and was very proud of his 5 holes-in-one.  Pat played soccer in his younger years and he also enjoyed fishing and cruising.

Pat is survived by 4 children; daughter, Laurie Ann Desjardins and her husband Dean of Wolcott and sons, Todd P. Jenkins and his wife Tina of Plainville, Donald P. Jenkins and Marjorie Serrano and David P. Jenkins, both of Plantsville, 2 grandchildren, Austin Desjardins and Amber Desjardins and 2 cherished great-grandchildren, Bailey Grace and Benjamin Robert. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Laura Jenkins of Dublin, Ireland and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Diane, he was predeceased by 2 brothers, Albert and Joseph Jenkins.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
