Paul S. Dailida, 76, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 30, 2023 in New Britain. He was the loving husband and best friend of Vivian (Olson) Dailida for 46 years.

Paul was born on November 28, 1946 in Putnam, CT to the late Steven and Florence (Bedard) Dailida and was raised in Danielson, CT before moving to Southington in 1966.

Paul did everything his way. He was the owner and operator of Paul’s Transport of Plantsville. Behind the wheel of his Peterbilt, Paul was known by his handle, “Bad Attitude.” He loved the freedom of the road.  Paul was a cross-country driver before down-shifting to more local hauls, with his final run in 2011. Paul was a member of the Southington Sportsman’s Club and the Local Teamsters 677 of Waterbury.  His hobbies included fishing, boating, race cars, and target practice along with sharing many stories and fond memories at the neighborhood picnic table.

In addition to his wife, Vivian, he leaves his sons; Paul James Dailida of Waterbury, Kenneth Dailida and wife Erika, 2 cherished grandsons, Jonathan and Christopher Dailida all of Bristol. Paul was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Debra Dailida.
