Raymond F. Reuber

Raymond F. Reuber, 99, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Southington Care Center in Southington, CT.  He was the devoted husband of the late Doris Mott Reuber for 52 years.

Born December 11, 1917 in Collinsville, CT., he was the son of the late Richard J. Reuber and Bertha Farken Reuber.  He is survived by his son, Michael Reuber, and his wife, Noreen of Harwinton, CT, and his beloved granddaughters, Marisa Reuber of Gaithersburg, MD, and Paige Reuber of Washington, DC.  He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Reuber, in 1959.

Ray graduated from Bristol High School and Morse Business College.  He served in the United States Army in the Pacific during World War II.  He then resided in Wethersfield, CT, and worked as an accountant at Northeast Utilities for 30 years.  Upon retirement he enjoyed Arizona, rock collecting, and silverwork.  He liked Big Band music and fishing.  Above all, he was a loving dad and grandfather, and was a sweet, kind man.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Southington Care Center for their compassionate care and support.

Funeral services and burial with military honors in Oak Hill Cemetery will be held privately.  Plantsville Funeral Home is entrusted with caring for the arrangements.
