Regina Jeanette (Pelletier) McDonald, 62, of Fort Myers, FL and formerly of Southington, CT, passed away after a hard battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital. She was the loving wife and best friend of Jeffrey P. McDonald for nearly 40 years.
Regina was born on July 20, 1962 in New Britain to the late Darius and Jeanette (Cyr) Pelletier.
Regina was a loving and caring wife, best friend and mother. She was a people person, a world class conversationalist who was often sought out for her advice. Regina had a gardener’s green thumb and made the best meatballs. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, sense of humor and most importantly, being a fierce advocate for her family. She was loved by so many.
In addition to her husband Jeff, she is survived by three sons, Shawn McDonald of Southington, Colin McDonald and his wife Alexandra of Wolcott and Blake McDonald of Southington. She is also survived by two sisters, Sherry Pollard and husband Gary of Granby and Suzette Fullerton of Meriden, her brother, Ken Pelletier of Meriden and nieces and nephews, Wade Pollard (Rachael), Dan Pollard, Megan Sforza (Leon), Nicholas Sforza (Jamie) and Jenna Sforza. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Darius Pelletier and sister, Lori Schnell.

A graveside service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at St. Thomas Cemetery, 209 Bellevue Ave., Southington. Calling hours will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
