Robert J. Baranski

Robert J. Baranski, 78, of the Plantsville section of Southington passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at HCC at New Britain General. He was the loving husband of the late Marilyn (Woods) Baranski for 45 years.

Born Dec. 16, 1937 in Meriden to the late Stanley and Alice (Koczon) Baranski, he had been a longtime Southington resident.

Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard in the 1950s. He worked as an industrial mechanic, retiring from Westvaco in Meriden.

He is survived by two sons; John Baranski and his wife Patty of Indiana and Timothy Baranski of Plantsville; 3 grandchildren: Joshua, Alyssa and Jessica and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will be private in South End Cemetery.
