Ronald D. Faust

Ronald D. Faust, 64, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the loving husband of Patti (Cornell) Faust for nearly 40 years.

Ronald was born on April 29, 1959 in Barton, VT to the late Stephen D. and Lauray (Young) Faust. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Ron worked as a tool design engineer for many years, most recently at Companion Industries in Southington and was a volunteer firefighter with Company 3. Ron loved music, riding motorcyles and was a lover of all animals. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband and proud father.

In addition to his wife Patti, he is survived by his son David Faust of Plantsville, 2 nieces he affectionatly referred to as his bonus daughters, Meghan Faust of Meriden and Lindsey Faust of Plainville, as well as 2 brothers, Alan Faust and wife Maureen of Berlin and Regent Faust of Southington. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Calling hours will be held before the service from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the State Veteran’s Cemetery, Middletown, CT.
