Sharon Triano-Kott

Sharon Triano-Kott, 76, of Guilford, CT, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 12, 2025, with her family by her side.

Sharon was born on October 11, 1949 in Southington, CT to the late Andrew and Helene (Levulis) Triano. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School in 1967 and went on to D’Youville University in Buffalo, NY to earn her BA. Sharon received her master’s degree in social work from the University Hartford and worked as a social worker for the State of Connecticut for over 30 years.

Sharon was a devoted advocate for people in need and her legacy is one that spreads far and wide from the many lives she touched over the years. Most of all, Sharon loved her family and her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by two sons, Jared A. Kott and his wife Erika of Chicago, IL and Colin M. Kott and his wife Brianna of Higganum, CT and three cherished grandchildren, Colin, Sloane and Reese.

She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Lexi, her constant companion and source of daily unconditional love and joy.

A very special thank you is extended to Donna, her hospice nurse and cherished caregiver. Donna cared for her with remarkable tenderness and devotion during the final eight months of her life. She was a steady, and loving presence in Sharon’s life, and they shared a special bond. Our family is forever grateful.
