Violet M. (Bossie) Soleck, 79, of the Plantsville section of Southington died Wed. October 14, 2009 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at Bradley Memorial, Southington. She was the wife of the late Joseph 'Mac' Soleck.

Born January 2, 1930 in Houlton, Maine to the late Joseph and Mary (Guerrette) Bossie she had lived in Plantsville for many years.

Violet was employed by Five Star for many years and retired from Ingrhams after many years of service. She loved her family and enjoyed watching Uconn Womens Basketball.

She is survived by her brother, Joseph Bossie of Houlton, Maine and her sister Cecile Ruby Clark of South Hadley, MA; two step-children, Beatrice and Matthew Soleck. Violet was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and especially loved her faithful dog, Squeeky. She was pre-deceased by her brother Wilbert Bossie.

The family extends a special thank you to John and Cathy Solleck and Simone Gendreau for all their kindness.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday October 17, 2009 from the Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a Mass at 9:30 at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours are (TODAY) Friday Oct. 16, 2009 from5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
