Wesley C. Clark, 54, of Southington, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 30, 2021 unexpectedly from cardiac related issues. He had been the loving husband of Cathleen (Mohan) Clark for nearly 19 years.
Wes was born on May 16, 1966 in New Britain to Shirley (Skinner) Clark and the late Wesley I. Clark and was a lifelong Southington resident.
In addition to his mother Shirley and wife Cathy, Wes is survived by three children, Jon Clark and Lindsey Cyr of Southington, Corissa Clark and Colton Cerveniski of Plainville, Bridget Clark of Burlington, VT and two cherished grandchildren, Camden and Cadence. He is also survived by three sisters, Sandra Frazier, June Rossini and her husband Tom, and Sheila Oropollo and husband Tony, all of Southington, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father Wes, he was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Jack Kastner and Raymond Frazier.
Wes retired after 23 years as a sergeant from the CT State Police where he spent most of his career with Western District Major Crime. He went on to develop and teach interview and interrogation techniques across the US and internationally. Wes had a love for coming up with new ideas. With his brother-in-law Tony, he invented The Pool Pillow Pal. He even designed two games, Lyrically Inclined and Spy The Lie.
Despite being very passionate and dedicated to his work, Wes always put God, and his time with family and friends first. He loved to play silly games, make cookies and do crafts with Camden and Cadence, travel, hike, boat, and find adventures with Cathy, gather for dinner with his siblings and children, and relax in the hot tub looking up at the stars. His kindness and compassion will live through the people whose lives he touched and changed for the better.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Wes’ memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org).
