William B. Burke, 60, of East Windsor and formerly of Southington, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
William was born in Fort Lewis, Washington on December 6, 1963, son of Robert J. Burke and the late Patricia J. (Mackesy) Burke. He graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1981 and worked as general contractor, specializing in flooring, for his entire working career.
Bill had a passion for music and a larger than life personality. He was charismatic and funny and the life of the party. He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone. Bill was happiest being surrounded by his large family and many friends, who will miss him dearly.
Bill is survived by his son, William B. Burke Jr., and daughter, Danielle Burke, his father Robert J. Burke and wife Barbara Bannon Burke, one brother, James Burke, one sister, Deborah Rabinovich and husband Al, and a large loving extended family including, Teri-Lyn Burke, Joseph Bannon, Jr. (Kristen), Tiffany Testa (Jonathan), Tobias Bannon (Timothy Rhoades), Shaun Bannon, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother Pat, Bill was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Burke.
In lieu of flowers, donations in William's memory may be made to the Bridge Family Center, 1022 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, CT 06107 (www.bridgefamilycenter.org/).A graveside service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Thomas Cemetery, Meriden Ave., Southington.
