Zachary "Zak" Nason

Zachary “Zak” Nason, 23, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away suddenly after sustaining injuries from a motorcycle accident on Saturday, May 4, 2024. 

Zak was born in New Britain, CT on November 21, 2000, the only son of Dennis Nason of Plantsville and Maria (Fachini) Nason of Plainville. 

He graduated from Wilcox Technical School, Class of 2018, and was working at J& M Tire Company in Southington. 

Zak loved fast trucks, fast bikes and had a fast life. He enjoyed lifting weights and hanging with his buddies; always ready for a party. Zak was fearless, a little wild and lived his life in the present. He had no filter which made him funny and lovable. He was kindhearted and loving and his radiant smile will live on in the hearts of those who love him forever. 

In addition to his parents, Zak is survived by his maternal grandmother, Louise Carbone and Bill Schoonmaker of Southington, maternal grandfather, Ronald Fachini and wife Kathleen of Lawrenceville, GA, uncle, Joseph Fachini of TX, aunt, Terry Busca of FL, great-uncle, John Carbone and wife Annette of Plantsville, many cousins and his 4 best friends; Christian, Michael, Justin and RJ. Zak was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Cora Nason and his aunts and uncles; John, Larry, Margaret, Robin and Ricky.  

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Plantsville Funeral Home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held before the service from 2 – 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Zak’s family requests that you wear blue jeans and a black shirt, because that is how he would have wanted it.
